Heading south on the way into town there is a long straight stretch that is mostly all pasture. Months ago the county marked it off and started working on it. After a while it became evident that they were developing a wetlands area. Adding mulch and planting 100's of little trees or bushes of some kind. I went to a local nursery recently, really local, I don't even have to go into town it's so close. As a rule they only sell annuals until this year she started getting a few perennials. I do love my perennials so that's a good thing for me.It's not a huge nursery with only 2 greenhouses but what sets it apart from others and especially the bigger ones is all of the potted containers she does.

For years now the Western Tanager has been coming here to use all of my birdbaths. I don't know where he lives or gets his meals but this is where he feels comfortable kicking back and splashing around in the water. I am so surprised because my Christmas or Thanksgiving whatever Cactus is bloomin' again. This just never happens for me. It happens for my Mother but never for me. This week I thought I’d show my vintage phonograph. I got it in a barter for a beautiful old Indian Maiden print that a friend of mine wanted. She fell in love with the print so we swapped. Wednesday was an absolutely wonderful day for me. I purchased my Amaryllis a little later than everyone else I guess. Consequently I got to enjoy all of your shows early and now mine later.
