Since nothing is blooming around here and I'm trying to get back in the swing of things with my blog I decided to walk around and at least take pictures for Fertilizer Friday. We've had some good freezes so I'm assuming these plants still showing life are evergreen. I can never remember from year, partly because I don't go outside much in the winter and partly because it's depressing to see all my flowers like this. But if I look at it this way - it's not depressing it's a good thing to see them alive and still kicking - well, I guess that makes me feel better. So here goes.
The Rhodies, Camelia and Azaleas in the woodland garden are all still green. But the little Azalea is kind of throwing me for a loop because I thought it was deciduous. It is being strange though because it looks healthy but hasn't bloomed in a few years.
This Campanula and two others, the same kind in containers, are still green.
The front bank looks good. If you remember I've lost this bank twice. Once when I started over because it just wasn't going well. Then after I had it doing better and looking good a huge fir tree that was at the end on the left fell during a storm and loosened the bed and then later it all collapsed. So now it has to fill in again. The brick sure looks nice though. Bob added a couple more rows this time so the angle isn't as great. I still feel like I'm falling in if I work on it from the top. So I just go down in the ditch and do it that way most of the time.
The Heuchera in my old tool chest looks good this time of year.
Sedum Cape Blanco
Saxifrage London Pride doesn't change a bit in the winter.
Of course my Maidenhair fern stays the same, maybe a little greener this time of year.
New Zeland Brass Buttons
The Cyclamen leaves are so pretty!
Violas
Pulmonaria Smokey Blue
I know the Jacobs Ladder looks terrible. So much I didn't get cleaned out or cut back because in October I was still planting many flowers and then ended up in the hospital so that's all she wrote outside for me.
My adorable little tiny Heuchera Canyon Duet
Silene Clifford Moor
The Yucca never changes.
I do believe these are the Naked Ladies that didn't come up last summer. I need to find out from my neighbor, who gave them to me, if they come up now, die back and then bloom at the end of summer. I am so anxious to see them bloom because they are absolutely gorgeous!
This one blew me away yesterday when I saw it. It's a big leaf from the new large Malvas I got last summer. Hooray and I hope it reseeded lots as well.
Hardy Geranium
The only plant blooming this time of year is the Heather.
Some Sedums - Baby's Tears I think and Purple Form. I don't know the 3rd one.
The little ferns I planted last year made it.
All the Heuchera starts I planted look good.
Pulmonaria Mrs. Moon
Lamium Chequers
There was lots more green I took pictures of but didn't show like Lambs Ears, Red Valerian, 3 different Penstemons and Guara. There was also more green up by the greenhouse and up farther on the property but I was just too pooped to go any farther. Pictures this time of year aren't that exciting anyway sooooo . . .
It's Fertilizer Friday so be sure to go over and visit our hostess Tootsie after you leave here and see what's blooming in everyone's gardens! And while you’re there why not join in on the fun.

Glad you were able to get out and get some photos. Things will be pretting up soon with lots more growth. I am ready for spring to get here I just got to get those garden beds ready over the next few weeks. Azalea's here are not desiduous. The leaves stay green here and new leaves come in the spring with the blooms. Hope you have a great weekend.
