Welcome

I'm so glad you came by. I hope I'll be able to keep things interesting so you'll want to come back for a visit - I love the company!

I have many flowers I will be showing pictures of and a lot of critters that come around looking for a handout. But they give as much as they take since they're so much fun to watch. I always try to have my camera handy hoping for a shot better than the last one.

Fertilizer Friday . . . Still Blooming

It's Fertilizer Friday so be sure to go over and visit our hostess Tootsie after you leave here and see what's blooming in everyone's gardens! And while you’re there why not join in on the fun.

The Dinnerplate Dahlia is still trying to make it but I don't think it will. It's about 'teacup' size now.
This Dahlia must have had it's Cheerios . . . look how this stem stretched up above the others.
Red Valerian has got to be the winner of the year for longest blooming. It's still going strong!
I laid a stem of Baby's Breath on the Snow In Summer. Looks pretty together, doesn't it?
This is the bright orange Geranium the lady sold me saying it was pink. It's losing color and looks really pretty now.
I hope my Cleome re seeds. This one is new to me and came up from seed. I want lots now!
Bachelor Button
Malva Zebrina still going crazy!
Begonia
Sedum Autumn Joy
Soapwort

There are still Campanulas, Snapdragons, Dianthus, Asters, Mums, Spanish Lavender, Fuchsias, Dahlias, Begonias, Primula, Petunias, Purple Heart, Geraniums, Roses and Bleeding Heart showing their last blooms of the season.

  4. Oh Linda....your flowers still are lovely! I hope that Dahlia gets her act together quick!!! do you have to dig it up and save it for the winter? I had dinnerplate dahlias one year...I got a head start because I started them inside a month before the last frost...that way...they were about 8 inches tall when they hit the ground!!! What a show they put on!
I thank you for linking in again this week and sharing with us!

  6. Oh Linda, I find I haven't visited since September 21st when things seemed to be improving a little. I am so very sorry about your dear Dad he looked (and sounded) a lovely man, you must miss him very much. Mine, whom I adored, died when he was only 67 and I was just thirty and I still miss him so much.

All your blooms on this post are beautiful.

  15. After reading your post, I want to add several new plants to my cottage garden: red valerian, soapwort, bachelor's buttons, germander. But I promised my husband I wouldn't put in any more beds ... oh dear, how do I get out of that one? Lovely post. Thank you.

  16. You always have the prettiest flowers. I'm enjoying the fall weather ( well the only somewhat cool day was yesterday :) But the garden seems to know it's that time of year.

  18. I love the color of your Cleome! Lucky you! Be sure to save some seeds, too, so if you get no volunteers you will at least have some seeds to scatter.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Loved seeing so many blooming colors in your garden photos.

  19. Beautiful flowers and photos Linda! Love Cleome! But I cannot rid our garden of Malva as it props up everywhere; the Valerian also likes to reseed in different areas.

Sure hope you're doing well. ;)

  20. Gorgeous flowers!
My Valerian and Sedum are still looking good, but there's not a huge amount else left blooming - and I can't blame Autumn weather as it's still fairly warm here!
    Nice blog:)

  21. Hi Linda, love this FF post..sorry I'm late in visiting! The valerians have been missing in my garden (is it biennual?) but I have that malva and gypso still in bloom. Love that purple cleome, too...very different!

  23. Hi Linda, wow, these blooms are gorgeous. I know this post is from earlier in Oct. but my, those are just awesome. I love the cleome, bachelors button, dahlias, red valerian, interesting geranium, malva zebrina (!) wow, that's gorgeous too...and the soapwort, too. Most of these are plants I've never had! I know nothing about them. I am in need of some time to sit down and READ about plant varieties so I can be more aware of whats out there! I hope you are feeling better. I read on Kathleen's blog that you are recovering from a lung infection. My thoughts are with you;-)
